Pantone Approved - Color Matching System
WM - PIMs (Printer Ink Matching System)

Pantone Book
PIM Mixing System is the next generation of inks for mixing colors. With the introduction of Gold color, the matching of the Pantone yellows are made simple. The PIM system contains 10 primary High Opacity colors and uses only 6 Fluorescent. All colors have wet on wet properties. Recipe book is available for creating shades. With the uses of enhancer additives special effects become simple. Whether matching Pantone or a buyer’s special color, this system will make matching simple. PIM System will reduce overall cost. The easy of printing will increase production speeds.
Application and Substrate: PIM colors can be printed directly on cotton, cotton/polyester or polyester fabrics. If printing on a bleeding fabric use color with a low bleed white underlay. When printing on nylon fabric use Long Life Bonding Agent (add 10 to 15% by weight).
Stencil: Direct, Indirect or Capillary Films
Recommended Mesh: 86ct - 305ct (34t - 120t t/cm)
Modifiers/Additives:
Wash up: Mineral spirit, Press Wash or Ink Wash.
Fusion or Curing: 320 F/160 C for 1 to 1 ½ minutes. If running a higher oven temperature, the dwell time in the oven can be reduced. Fusing Machines or Heat Presses use 190 C/390 F for 8 seconds. Printers must check for curing of the inks on their fabrics.
Special notes: PVC inks are thermoplastic compounds that require heat for fusion or curing. If ink rubs off on a white cloth, temperature and or dwell time should be increase. Rubs should not be hard. Plastisol inks do not wet crock. Do not dry clean. Always check fabric for Migrating dyes.

Scales - Ink Mixing

Mixing Scales
Equip your Mixing department with the tools they need to process color matches. Compact Scales for Quart color matches and larger scales for mixing gallons & 5gallons are available.
- Compact Scales list weight in grams .01 x 1,200 grams
- Larger Scales measure .01 x 4,000 grams & up to 25 kg.
Pantone Books
The Pantone Color books are an essential tool in the screen-printing shop. We have a few types based on your designer's use:
- Textile Pantone (Home/Fashion) utilizes fabric shades for fashion designers.
- Process Pantone (CYMK) utilizes Halftone colors Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black.
- Metallic Pantone (MET) utilizes metallic and pearlescent shades.
- Pantone Color Guide (Coated & Un-coated) utilizes standard Pantone colors and codes are 3-4 digits followed by a C or U. This is the most popular book used in the market.
Plastisol Ink Mixers

1qt/1gal Ink Mixer
This self-centering mixer adjusts to accommodate 1/4 to 5 gallon (1 to 20 liter) containers and includes 3 different sized blades. The Formulator Ink Mixer includes fixed and variable speeds and rotates clockwise and counterclockwise. The unique design of the Formulator saves time by mixing thoroughly in the original container. It uses a new multi-directional turntable with adjustable locking clamps that accommodates both metal and plastic containers. The special blade configuration provides gentle and thorough mixing without splash-up or air bubbles.
An ink mixer shouldn't be overlooked for a professional screen printing shop. The Anatol Formulator is ideal for mixing matched colors, for adding pigments such as glitters and fluorescents to bases, and for assuring proper blending of reducers and other modifiers. The Formulator Ink Mixer ensures even blending through its "lift and roll" movement --reaching ink that typically settles on the bottom and sides of containers.
